Bahrain: OFWs to Get Financial Assistance from Philippine Embassy

The Philippines Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued guidelines on the provision of financial assistance to displaced land based and sea based Filipino workers due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The program covers OFWs who have experienced job displacement due to lockdown or community quarantine or have been infected by the virus. Those who have not received any financial support or assistance from the government or their employers may also apply for this.

The financial assistance is worth USD200 or BD75.
