Bahrain: Over 8,000 Workers Provided with New Accommodation

Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, has stressed the importance of employers’ preventive efforts and precautionary measures  to ensure workers’ protection, to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

As many as 8,011 workers have been provided with new accommodation at their work establishments or companies.

Humaidan indicated that the Labour and Social Development Ministry has followed up on the private establishments’ sanitisation of 793 work houses, and the allocation of precautionary quarantine spaces at those houses.

The Labour and Social Development Ministry has also distributed more than 400,000 booklets to 350,000 foreign workers in various languages.
