The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) had issued a decision to suspend a dentist for six months after he caused complications to a patient who needed orthodontic treatment. The complications led to an emergency surgery of the gums because of the possibility of losing a tooth and nerve damage.

The dentist filed a lawsuit against NHRA for the suspension which has been dismissed by the First Civil High Court.

By examining the patient’s medical record, who filed the complaint, the dentist was summoned and asked about the violations attributed to him before the formed committee ended up collectively endorsing the decision of the disciplinary committee to suspend him for 6 months.
