Our national football team winning the 24th edition of the Gulf Cup increased people’s demand for buying national flags, scarves, and red clothes weeks before the National Day, according to retailers. Demands on buying national flags, scarves, and red clothes increased by 80% compared to the same period in 2018.
Retailers noted that people’s demands usually increase just days before the National Day as people start shopping from 14 to 18 December.
But this year people started buying national flags, scarves, red clothes and hats bearing the name of the Kingdom from the beginning of the 24th edition of the Gulf Cup.
The win further boosted sales, requiring retailers to carry double quantities of flags, red clothes, and scarves, which were the best sellers of this period.
