Bahrain: Proposal for Bicycle Track in Muharraq Rejected

Muharraq Municipal Council expressed its disapproval of a parliamentary proposal to create a special track for bikers in the streets of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Council members suggested that the Parliamentary Committee set in its priorities directing street and road budgets in favor of revamping roads and constructing them in new areas.

They also stressed the need to increase the level of coordination between the Parliamentary Public Utilities Committee and the municipal councils when set its plans for the upcoming legislative roles.
