Bahrain: Proposal to fix sun shades on garbage bins

A member of the Northern Municipal Council, Muhammad Saad Al-Dosari, proposed that cleaning companies provide a fixed umbrella or sun shade in portable cleaning containers.

He noted that the proposal aimed at protecting the rights of cleaning workers, especially in the high temperatures during the summer.

Al-Dossary stressed that despite the proposal’s simplicity, it was very necessary to protect workers and help them to perform their work to the fullest, especially during the summer months.

He assured that the proposal would not cost a lot of money, but that the benefits would be great to workers whose rights should be preserved.
