Bahrain: Punishment For Houses That Violate New Cleanliness Law

The Municipality of the Northern Governorate has launched a campaign to monitor violations that were included in the New Cleanliness Law after it was approved in 2019.

During its campaign, the municipality adhered some warning stickers on a number of houses that violated the law, which was aimed at drawing the attention of homeowners to the nature of the violation committed and calling for it to be stopped before applying the legal procedures.

The municipality has also indicated on these notes the punishment that will be imposed on homeowners in the event of a repeat of the violation.

The municipality warned of the damages that the water streams from the houses can cause which can lead to the formation of swamps that stimulate the reproduction of insects and mosquitoes, in addition to the damage of the street structure.
