Bahrain Raid Xtreme announces internships for Bahraini students

One-month, all expenses paid internship giving students comprehensive insights into the operations of a world-leading motorsport and engineering group.

Bahrain Raid Xtreme (BRX) has announced a university competition for which the prize will be an all-expense paid, one-month internship at Prodrive in the UK, which runs the BRX team.

The announcement was made by BRX team director & Prodrive Chairman David Richards and his team at the state-of-the-art American University of Bahrain (AUBH) campus, in front of a delegation of students and faculty from AUBH, University of Bahrain (UoB), and Bahrain Polytechnic University, attending both in-person and online.

With the launch of this competition, winners will be gaining a comprehensive insight into how a world-leading motorsport and engineering group offers the students the opportunity to enhance creativity, ingenuity and problem-solving skills and fulfills their motorsport and racing passion in this collaborative activity.

Prodrive is a world-leading motorsport and advanced technology business. Since 1984, Prodrive has won six FIA World Rally titles; five Le Mans titles; four British Touring Car titles and six FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) titles. Prodrive is currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Aston Martin Racing and supporting a number of customer programs around the world.

Mr. Richards also led the development of motorsport in the Middle East, organizing the very first rally in the region, in Kuwait in 1976.

Most recently, the Prodrive run Bahrain Raid Xtreme team has achieved the best result for any team debuting on the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia.
