Residents in various areas around Bahrain are demanding that authorities remove rainwater. This topic received huge comments on social media as many suffered “massive” rainwater logging in public streets and inner neighbourhoods.

Many comments wondered about the rain teams formed by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to deal with the rainwater. Comments mentioned areas like Aali, Buri and some newly-built housing projects.

Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Eng. Esam bin Abdullah Khalaf stated that the housing projects did not record any reports of rainwater pools as the pumps installed in these areas worked efficiently as well as the sewage system.
