Bahrain: More than 5,500 coronavirus cases reported in total
The total number of cases reported in Bahrain so far has reached 5,531 with almost 40% recoveries and 0.1% death.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that 295 new coronavirus cases were reported, bringing the total of active cases to 3,330
Health officials in Bahrain also confirmed 40 more recoveries from the COVID-19 coronavirus today, bringing the total number of recoveries so far to 2,192 since the outbreak first began.
They also announced the death of an 80-year-old Bahrain citizen from the coronavirus, taking the country’s death toll to 9. The ministry said the deceased, along with all other active COVID-19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team.
Currently, a total of 197,898 people have been tested and the total number of confirmed active cases is 3330, among which 5 patients are in critical condition.
