Bahrain Receives Equipment for Coronavirus Testing

Bahrain has today received a batch of hi-tech medical equipment for laboratory genetic testing.

HRH the Crown Prince directed the swift provision of hi-tech medical equipment used to detect coronavirus, as well as to provide for laboratory genetic testing needed to ensure preventive control of the disease and deal with any potential development.

The Bahrain International Airport delivered the hi-tech medical equipment used to detect coronavirus to the Health Ministry’s laboratories to be used in the early detection of the virus. The ministry said that work is underway to link its public laboratories with major centres for disease control and international organisations in the world and communicate with them round the clock to get updated about the virus developments.

The ministry is also following up the epidemiological situation related to the virus developments, preparing health guidelines on dealing with suspected coronavirus infections, in line with the World Health Organization (WHO) protocols.
