Indian full service airline Vistara announced plans to launch a direct flight service to Doha from India’s commercial capital Mumbai.
The new service is slated to commence on December 15, the airline said in a media statement.
The carrier said it will operate four flights in a week between Doha and Mumbai, using its A321neo aircraft.
The Qatar capital city will be the airline’s 50th destination.

Chief Executive Officer Vinod Kannan said the airline is thrilled to introduce direct flights between Mumbai and Doha, a burgeoning financial hub in the Middle East.
“Given the city’s growing economic significance, this move not only further solidifies our presence in the Gulf region but also enhances our network offering from our Mumbai hub,” he said.
The airline currently operates direct flight services to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the UAE, Dammam and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Muscat from Delhi and Mumbai.
