Bahrain: Record high of 2,415 cases announced

Out of 19847 COVID-19 tests carried out on 20 May 2021, 2415 new cases have been detected in Bahrain.

Of these, 796 were expatriate workers, 1608 were contacts of active cases, and 11 were travel related. There were 1466 recoveries increasing total to 189962.

Seven deaths were recorded, taking the death toll to 780. It included four Bahraini men (aged 86, 80, 83 and 72), two expat men, (aged 52 and 50) and a 58-year-old expat woman.

There are currently 207 cases in a critical condition, and 285 cases receiving treatment. 18344 are stable out of a total of 18551 active cases
