The Ministry of Health confirmed that it detected a total of 301 new coronavirus cases yesterday, bringing the total number of active cases to 1,397. This is the highest single-day increase seen in Bahrain with the previous highest being 225,
289 cases were reported yesterday evening and 12 new cases were reported overnight. Of the 289 cases reported earlier, 212 cases are of expat workers, 63 cases are of contact with existing cases and 14 are related to travel abroad.
Health officials in Bahrain also confirmed a total of 31 new recoveries from the COVID-19 coronavirus yesterday, bringing the total number of recoveries so far to 1,113 since the outbreak first began.
Currently, a total of 107,273 people have been tested and the total number of confirmed active cases is 1397, amongst which 1 patient is in critical condition. To date, 1113 patients have been discharged and 8 deaths have been confirmed.
