Bahrain Registers 6,128 Mask-Related Violations So Far

“A total of 6,128 mask-related violations in public places were registered since the decision was implemented,” stated Public Security Assistant Chief for Operations and Training Affairs, Brigadier-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa.

He confirmed the continuation of the implementation of the instructions of the General Security Presidency, regarding taking legal measures against violators which, he added, aimed at strengthening the commitment to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The Northern Governorate Police Directorate recorded 2000 violations, the Capital Governorate Police Directorate recorded 1265 violations.

The Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate recorded 1201 violations, and 979 violations were registered by the Southern Governorate Police.

The General Administration of Ports Security recorded 72 violations.

He said that besides applying the law to violators of precautionary measures, awareness campaigns were continuing and targeting various segments of society to enhance awareness among citizens and residents of the importance of commitment and support of state efforts to eliminate the virus.
