Bahrain: Restaurant fire in Tubli leaves 10 people critical

A Bahraini couple and eight expat workers are critical due to a restaurant fire in Tubli, announced by the Ministry of Interior.

According to the reports in Albilad, a husband and a wife, apparently the restaurant’s owners, were carrying out maintenance to the restaurant’s pizza oven with eight expat workers. During the maintenance, the pizza oven exploded and all were injured.

All cases were transferred to the nearest hospitals to receive the necessary medical care.

Videos and pictures, that were highly circulated on social media, showed many civil defense vehicles as well as an ambulance in the area. The area witnessed a partial closure which caused heavy traffic jams.
