The Southern Municipality carried out a campaign against roadside cleanliness violations by workshops and garages in Block 939. Items such as tyres, electrical appliances, wood, tables iron and construction equipment were removed. The municipality stated that the violations were blocking the movement of pedestrians and cars.

Officials explained that the campaign was aimed to endure the safety of workers at the workshops as well as of the public. A high number of workshops had legal action taken against them due to the campaign. A task force handled the inspection, which was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Supreme Council for Environment, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and the Municipality of the Northern Governorate.
