Students with disabilities will start the new school year on October 25, the Minister of Labour and Social Development has said in a circular.
The back to school for the students will occur two weeks after the administrative and teaching staff reported to duty on October 11.
The decision is based on the directives of the Executive Committee chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, First Deputy Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, regarding the 2020-2021 academic year for public schools and rehabilitation centers.
It also seeks to ensure the continuation of the educational, academic and professional achievements of people with disabilities from all ages, the ministry said.
All precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus will be applied to ensure overall safety.
