Bahrain: School, University Reopening Plans Reviewed

A plan reviewing the reopening of public and private schools and universities for the new academic year was discussed yesterday. A report prepared by the task team was presented.

The presentation included the proposals submitted by the task force, the approved criteria, the suggested procedures and the implementation requirements to ensure the safety of students and educational and administrative staff that were developed by specialists in various government agencies following a study of the international best practices in this field.

Deputy PM HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa was briefed on the plan by Education Minister Majed Al Nuaimi and Education Ministry Undersecretary for Resources and Services Mohammed Mubarak Juma.

HH Shaikh Mohammed stressed the government’s keenness on resuming education in a way that guarantees the safety of the students and staff.

He called for finalizing the proposals to present them to the Executive Committee ahead of referring them to the Cabinet.
