Bahrain: Shoppers urged to comply with precautionary measures

A Health Ministry medical professional urged strict compliance with precautionary measures set by the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19.

Health Consolidation Directorate Programmes Chief Consultant Doctor Fatima Hubail urged people to protect themselves and their families and contribute to curbing the spread of the pandemic.

In a statement today, she urged shoppers to abide by precautionary measures when at suqs and trading outlets. By wearing face masks correctly, respecting social distancing requirements and avoiding peak hours.

She urged shoppers to sanitise their hands regularly for at least twenty seconds,  observe physical distancing and avoid touching products displayed at trading outlets.

Dr. Hubail urged elderly people and those suffering from chronic diseases to avoid going out unless necessary. Senior citizens and pregnant women go shopping early in the morning and pay electronically and avoid using cash.   

She also advised people to shop remotely via online platforms such as smart applications and electronic sites, stressing the importance of limiting contacts.
