Bahrain: Social media news declared fake by Livestock Agency

Fake news related to Coronavirus is being spread on social media.

Animal Wealth Directorate Veterinary Quarantine in response to what has been going viral on social media accounts about a serious disease spreading among cats and street dogs, the Livestock Agency denied all of these allegations of detecting any kind of contagious diseases in common among humans and animals.

The agency explained in a statement that there were no cases detected of this disease, especially as the departments concerned are keen to keep the Kingdom free from common diseases.

The Agency called on citizens not to publish such news that broadcast fear and panic in the community, stressing on them to take information from official sources.
