Bahrain: Summer Outdoor Work-Ban Ends

The authority aims to undertake an amicable settlement of any individual dispute between the worker and the employer.

The afternoon work-ban supervised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development has ended as of 31st August 2019.

The annual ban which commences on the first of July bans working in open worksites between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

The decision has been taken due to the high temperature in Bahrain during this period of the year.

Violators would face a penalty of imprisonment for three months or a fine ranging from BD500 to 1000, according to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development.
