Bahrain Takes Home 39 Medals From Special Olympics World Games

Bahrain takes into its credit another historic achievement of the Special Olympics, held in the Middle East which witnessed around 7,500 athletes competed in 24 Olympic-style sports over seven days.

The Kingdom took home 39 medals (16 gold, 12 silver, 11 bronze) at the recently-concluded Special Olympics World Games 2019 in Abu Dhabi.

Bahrain Paralympics Committee chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Daij Al Khalifa along with significant officials welcomed members of Bahrain delegation from the UAE’s capital.

The chairman congratulated the team on this remarkable achievement, highlighting the hard work and commitment of Bahrain athletes in preparation for the international event.
