Bahrain: talabat introduces talabat mart

talabat, the region’s leading food and grocery delivery app is proud to announce the launch of talabat mart in Bahrain. talabat mart is the organisation’s Quick Commerce (q-commerce) concept, delivering groceries to customers within 30 minutes, 24 hours a day..

Q-commerce is talabat’s next big milestone in shaping how customers order online, and aims to revolutionise the grocery delivery market. Operating differently to traditional supermarkets, talabat’s q-commerce store, talabat mart, does not have a shopfront, and is delivery only. The ‘dark store’ concept allows rapid order fulfillment, more shelf space for a wider variety, safety and affordability. Currently, there are 3 talabat mart stores strategically located in areas across Bahrain, and many more are planned to open in the future.

talabat mart, which was launched in Kuwait late last year, and in the UAE in March, has started operations in five locations in Bahrain and is eyeing quick expansion in order to widen its delivery area to be able to service more customers.

Speaking on the launch Hesham AlSaati,  Managing Director of talabat Bahrain, believes that talabat mart is a major play in the grocery shopping space.

‘We are excited to present Bahrain with continued innovations and to continually exceed our customer’s expectations. talabat mart rounds up our e-commerce offerings with a unique value proposition. Our customers will be getting their groceries in the quickest and most convenient way possible. With order fulfillment within 30 minutes and 24/7 availability of all your grocery essentials, this service is unparalleled in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Safety remains the top priority in the community, talabat ensures that all staff in contact with groceries at the warehouse, as well as riders wear masks, gloves and are using sanitisers. In addition, members of staff will have their temperature regularly checked – and the facilities are fully disinfected and sanitized regularly.
