Bahrain’s senior men’s national handball team will be playing in an international friendly tournament in Saudi Arabia in preparation for their campaign next month in the 2022 Asian Men’s Handball Championship.
The exhibition competition, set to be held in the Eastern Province, is scheduled to begin tomorrow and will continue until Tuesday next week. The Bahrainis have been training locally with a 19-player squad under head coach Aron Kristjansson.
The Bahrainis are in Group D for the first round of the Asian championship alongside Japan Hong Kong. Uzbekistan and Vietnam. A total of 17 national teams are taking part in the event, which also acts as a continental qualifying competition for the world championships in 2023.
