Bahrain: Telephone service launched to support fishermen

A new telephone service called “Fishermen Service” was officially launched. This was announced by the Acting Director of the Maritime Control Department at the Agriculture and Marine Resources Agency through the agency’s official social media account.

The aim of launching this service is to increase community outreach with customers, fishermen, citizens, and residents. It also aims to respond to inquiries about maritime licenses, receiving reports on marine violations by fishermen, and receiving inquiries about reviews of the Department of Maritime Control.

Raising awareness on the marine environment, responding to inquiries about maritime ports, measuring the satisfaction of customers and fishermen with the services provided to them by the Maritime Control Department will also be a part of this service.

A WhatsApp message with the word ‘subscription’ should be sent to 38488040 in order to activate this service.
