Bahrain to Ban Crab Fishing For Two Months

The fishing and selling of crab will be banned for two months, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry announced.

The ban, from March 15 until May 15, aims to stop fishing during the breeding period in order to preserve marine wealth and biodiversity in the territorial waters of Bahrain.

Marine control teams, in cooperation with the concerned authorities, will start monitoring operations to prevent any violations or abuses of the decision and ensure that Bahrain’s marine wealth is protected.
