Bahrain to Disburse All Government Employees’ Salaries on 21 May
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, directed the Ministry of Finance and National Economy to disburse the salaries of all government sector employees on Sunday, 21 May. The move aims to reduce the timeframe between payments due to the early payment of last month’s salaries and assist government employees in meeting living costs.
This came as HRH Prince Salman chaired yesterday the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. His Royal Highness also directed the concerned government authority to immediately accept 236 eligible retirement pension applications in the Khatwa Home Projects Program, provided the Government pays the additional contributions to ensure the Pension Fund is not affected.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also directed the formation of a government committee to review 69 employee cases in the Khatwa Program for Home Projects and to verify that they meet the criteria for a retirement pension. The committee has been given one month to complete its work.
