Bahrain: Traffic completes 100,000 e-transactions this year

General Directorate of Traffic confirmed that the percentage of users of electronic transactions has increased by more than 50% compared to last year with more than 100,000 transactions in July and August.

The Director of the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs confirmed that the General Directorate of Traffic has been working to encourage the use of its e-services through the launch of BD 50 weekly prize.

The increased awareness about electronic transactions has led to a significant increase in the use of the national portal Bahrain.bh.

The official also said that the provision of these services is carried out jointly with the information and eGovernment Authority and aims to develop e-services continuously.

These initiatives aim at utilising IT to support the Kingdom’s efforts in the field of e-Transformation and its sustainability in all entities – enhancing the performance and efficiency of provided services.
