Bahrain: Training Course in Agriculture at Hawrat A’ali

Dr Nabeel Mohamed Abul-Fateh, Undersecretary of Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs at the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, stressed that the Affairs is continuing to implement initiatives that will advance the agricultural sector.

Introducing modern systems of agriculture without soil, which contributes to raising the relative self-sufficiency of vegetables by 20%, through private sector investment companies and farmers, is one of the innovative ideas they are planning to introduce.

This came during the opening of the training course conducted on the production of vegetables in the Agricultural Incubators Center in Hawrat A’ali, which aims to educate the agricultural community about the principles of vegetable cultivation, develop practical skills in selecting vegetable varieties and seeds, enhance technical capabilities in the field of fertilizer use and irrigation water, and raise awareness of the importance of vertical cultivation.
