Bahrain‘s national triathlon team will participate in the West Asia Triathlon Championship, set to take place in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on December 14-15.

Representing the team in the professional category are Omar Hamza, Abdulrahman Al Hassan, and Hamed Al Hamrani, while the promising athletes Adel Ahmed, Omar Yasser, and Al Baraa Al Rumaihi will compete in the junior category.

The delegation is headed by Abdullah Abdelsalam, President of the Bahrain Triathlon Association, with national coach Mubarak Mohammed leading the team technically.

Abdelsalam emphasised that this participation is part of the association’s strategy to support athletes and compete in championships regionally and internationally to enhance performance and gain further experience.

He highlighted that the team has prepared well for this championship through intensive training aimed at achieving positive results and raising Bahrain’s flag in sports events.

The West Asia Triathlon Championship is considered one of the most important regional competitions, bringing together elite athletes from across the region. It offers an opportunity to compete at the highest levels and gain valuable experience in the sport of triathlon.
