Bahrain: Truckload Causes Huge Traffic Jam
Fall of a truckload caused huge jams on Shaikh Jaber Street towards Riffa near West Ekker.
The accident, which received a massive number of views and comments as a video of it went viral, caused huge jams and long waiting hours as it is an essential linking road between Sitra and Maameer industrial areas and big companies like Alba, Bapco and many others.
About the causes of the accident, they are still unknown as no official details have been revealed yet. But preliminary information indicates that causes were not following safety procedures of loading by the truck driver.
Because of the huge jams, police were present at the scene to facilitate the flow of traffic until the traffic police arrived and removed the car. The Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic stated that they initiated an investigation into the accident.
