Bahrain: Proposal to Reduce Fuel Prices Unanimously Approved
The urgent proposal submitted by the MPs to reduce the prices of gasoline received unanimous approval in the parliament.
MPs who intend to discuss the proposal said that due to the significant decline in oil prices during the past days in all global markets, the prices of petroleum products such as gasoline should be reduced when sold in the local market.
The deputies pointed out that countries usually lower the prices of gasoline when oil prices drop.
The proposal was submitted by the MPs: Ibrahim Al-Nefaie, Ahmed Al-Damistani, Mohamed Bouhamoud, Khaled Bouanak and Ahmed Al-Ansari.
As a result, they noted, the prices of petroleum products such as gasoline should be reduced when sold in the local market.
The deputies added that oil countries usually lower the prices of gasoline when oil prices drop.
