Bahrain Water Garden To Be Opened Soon

“85% of the second phase of water garden development work has been completed,” announced the Minister of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, Eng. Esam Khalaf, through the ministry’s official media accounts.

99% of the parking lots and 80% of service buildings in the park have been completed. The work has now begun in the lakes, which is the most important component of the water park.

Minister of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning has earlier stated that the first stage of the project included building an outer wall, construction of a power station, a guard room and some services. He noted that the second phase of the project would be completed in the last quarter of 2019. He assured that the Ministry gives priority to  increasing number of parks and entertainment venues and ensure their spread in various governorates as part of e with Bahrain’s Vision 2030.

He confirmed that the project receives direct and special attention and follow-up by Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa.

The water garden project was unique with historical value. Its design takes into consideration the historical features of the park, which are represented by walks and perennial trees. The park was divided into family spaces, children’s play areas, a wooden bridge, a space for sports, as well as green grasslands that cover the park.

The park also contained a number of investment buildings, such as a cafeteria and a restaurant with an area of ​​946 square meters, in addition to a number of service buildings such as administration building, room, hall and public facilities.
