“Bahrain will remain an oasis of peace” says king

At a formal gathering at Al-Sakhir Palace yesterday, King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, in the presence of Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, along with other senior dignitaries, commemorated the holy month of Ramadan and discussed Bahrain’s security, progress and future prosperity.

The King wished the people of Bahrain and residents living in the Kingdom many happy returns of the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He said that Bahrainis would always remain a closely-knit family and the Kingdom an oasis of security and stability as well as a beacon of co-existence, moderation, tolerance and openness on the world.

The King said that he took pride in Bahrain’s experience as well as its competent people who serve the nation in all fields which, he said, augurs well for homeland’s future and progress. He urged the cooperation of all sides so as to build a better tomorrow and a more prosperous future for the homeland, citizens and future generations.

The King also received heads of diplomatic missions, who congratulated him on the month of fasting, wishing him many happy returns and the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people further development, progress and prosperity.

The King welcomed the ambassadors and commented on the strong relations binding Bahrain and their countries, stressing keenness on strengthening joint ties and appreciating the dedicated efforts undertaken by the ambassadors to expand cooperation between Bahrain and their respective countries.
