Bahrain secured third place in the 13th Kuwait International Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran and its Reading and Recitation, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait.
The announcement was made during the closing ceremony, with Mohamed Adnan Al Omari achieving the award in the full Quran memorisation category, competing against participants from 75 countries.
Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, expressed pride in Bahrain’s consistent success in international Quranic competitions. He attributed this achievement to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their commitment to promoting Quranic education and supporting its memorisers.
The ministry remains dedicated to participating in international Quran competitions through its Quran Affairs Directorate, centres, and training programmes to prepare contestants globally.
