Work is underway to create a park in Block 743 in Sanad that contains several rides and a playground as well as service buildings and shaded benches.
The BD150,000 park covers an area of 2,233 square meters and is part of the development projects launched by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning following directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
The project aims to enhance municipal services provided to citizens and residents across Bahrain.
Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the decision to go ahead with the park followed after the visit of minister Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, MP Ali Ishaqi and the Chair of the Capital Trust Board Saleh Tarada to Block 743.
Tarada said the park would include a 253-meter walkway, two areas for children, 17 rides, five shaded sitting areas, 21 benches and a greet lot.
