Najmat Taiba (Star of Taiba), the world’s largest gold ring recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records, was on display at Jewellery Arabia, the 27th Middle East International Jewellery & Watch Exhibition.
The 21-carat Najmat Taiba or Star of Taiba, endorsed by the World Gold Council is currently valued at $3 million. The massive jewelry piece weighs nearly 64 kilograms (141 pounds) and is adorned with 5.1 kilograms of precious stones and diamonds, as well as 615 Swarovski crystals.
It took 450 hours in 45 days for at least 55 jewel smiths to produce the ring in 2000 and at that time, it cost the owner $547,000.
