Bahraini farmers’ market opens tomorrow at Budaiya Botanical Garden

The 10th edition of the Bahraini Farmers’ Market will begin tomorrow at Budaiya Botanical Garden, offering a treasure trove of freshly harvested produce from farms across the Kingdom.

A mission with a vision

Dr Khaled Ahmed Hassan, Undersecretary of Livestock and Undersecretary of Agriculture and Marine Resources, hailed it as a mission to market local products. “We are keen to continue the path of excellence in this national event, a mission to market local agricultural products based on its commitment to support Bahraini workers in the agricultural sector.”

Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, the Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, had said that the market, organised annually at Botanical Gardens, will function every Saturday. Usually, the market held from December to April remain open every Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm.

Following its huge success, the government also established a permanent farmers’ market, open six days a week, Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 3 pm in A’ali.
