Bahraini Heavily Fined for Violating Quarantine

A Bahraini accused of refraining from carrying out domestic quarantine isolation procedure was fined BD 2000 in the first court ruling.

Details of the case, according to the court’s documents, indicated that the Public Health Department had informed that the accused had come to Bahrain from a country infected with the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Upon examination at the airport, there were no apparent disease symptoms and samples were taken for examination and he was instructed to adhere to the domestic quarantine isolation for 14 days.

The department stated, after follow-up, it was found that the person has violated the domestic quarantine isolation by wandering and mixing with others.
