Bahrain’s COVID-19 Cases Reached its Highest Yesterday at 115

Bahrain reported its first coronavirus case on 24th February 2020. From there on, we have seen a steady but small increase in daily reported numbers.

However, yesterday marked the highest number of cases recorded in Bahrain, with a massive total of 115 being reported through the day.

While initially most cases were reported among locals and Iran repatriates, the trend is fast changing with more expatriates joining the ever-growing number of coronavirus positive patients.

The government is undertaking various measures to control the speed of coronavirus, the latest being a mandatory use of masks in public places and the conversion of public schools to shelters for expat labourers.
