Police Arrests Four Expats For Phone Scams In Oman

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested four expats for electronically defrauding people in the Sultanate of Oman.

ROP said in a statement :”The General Department of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations arrested four people of Asian nationality for defrauding citizens and residents by calling them by phone and informing them of the need to update their bank information and then requesting the password (OTP) so that they could withdraw sums of money from the victims’ accounts. The legal procedures were completed against them .”
