The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Royal University for Women (RUW) to strengthen the frameworks of co-operation and their partnership.
The MoU is in accordance with TRA’s initiative to support universities to conduct research in telecommunication sector during the current year.
The MoU was signed by the significant officials of TRA and the Royal University for women.
The two parties will work together through their participation in ongoing awareness programmes and public consultation, portraying the developments of the telecommunication sector to the public with relevant periodicals.
The implementation of MoU between the two parties also includes the formation of joint working groups in relevant sectors.
TRA extends its support to the academic programs that support the telecommunications sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The strategic partnership aims to maintain constructive communication with educational institutions to enrich their programs. It forms as part of TRA’s efforts to develop students’ skills and qualify them for the labor market in the telecommunications sector, said Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman AlKhalifa.
The MoU between the RUW and TRA is part of our commitment to develop the level of vocational training, which will create new opportunities for students and educational staff to provide them with advanced skills and enhance the labor market with qualified cadres, stated an official from the royal university.
