Earlier this year, beOnd signed an LOI with Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs to explore establishing a Bahrain-based AOC, creating a framework for collaboration in airline operations, workforce development, maintenance, and aviation innovation.
beOnd plans to base up to ten premium-configured aircraft in Bahrain by 2030, with projected economic contributions of USD 1.2–1.5 billion to Bahrain’s GDP within its first five years of operations and the creation of more than 1,200 direct high-skilled jobs.
The airline’s premium leisure model complements Bahrain’s ambition to enhance tourism yield and strengthen its role as a regional aviation hub—prioritising high-value visitor flows over volume-driven traffic.
