Bahrain: Over 23,000 face mask violations recorded since April

“A total of 23729 face-mask violations in public places were registered since the decision was implemented,” stated Public Security Assistant Chief for Operations and Training Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Hamad.

He confirmed the continuation of taking legal measures against violators which, he added, aimed at strengthening the commitment to limit the spread of COVID-19.

He stressed the importance of the commitment of citizens and residents to the instructions issued by the relevant authorities and the need to achieve social distancing in markets, commercial stores, and parks.

It is noteworthy that the decision of obligating all citizens and residents to wear face masks in public places was effective since April 9th 2020 to limit the spread of COVID-19.
