Bahrain: False Pharmacist Arrested For Promoting COVID-19 Cure
A 53-year-old Asian claimed to be a pharmacist and promoted a drug for Coronavirus (COVID-19) was arrested. This was announced by the Capital Governorate Police Directorate through its official social media account.
The directorate stated that it received a report that an Asian was promoting drugs that cure of COVID-19 and other diseases. It added that intensive search and investigation, the suspect was identified and arrested. It added that the police seized all his medication and nursing equipment that were in his residence.
The Director-General of the Capital Governorate Police Directorate indicated that the directorate notified the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) to take the necessary action, and the legal procedures were completed in preparation for referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
