Britain’s terrorism threat level was raised from “substantial” to “severe” on Thursday afternoon after a 45-year-old British national, reportedly born in Somalia, stabbed two Jewish men in North London. The elevation in the terrorism threat level suggests another terror attack is highly likely within the next six months, as Britain’s experiment with mass migration is backfiring. The suspect is 45-year-old Essa Suleiman from south-east London, the BBC understands. He came to the UK from Somalia in the early 1990s –BBC News Shabana Mahmood, the Home Secretary, described Wednesday’s attack as terrorism. “Today, the national threat level has increased to ‘severe,’ which means a terrorist attack is considered highly likely.” “I know this will be a source of concern to many, particularly amongst our Jewish community, who have suffered so much,” Mahmood said. The Joint Terrorism Analysis Center’s decision to raise the national terror threat level comes in the wake of a Somalia-born man stabbing two Jewish men and follows a series of attacks in Jewish neighborhoods in recent weeks. For context, “severe” is the second-highest of five threat levels, below “critical,” which means another attack is likely in the coming months, if not sooner. The last time the level was […]

Kuwait’s State Security and Terrorism Crimes Circuit at the Criminal Court has sentenced four people to three years in prison for fuelling sectarian strife on social media platforms. The court acquitted eight defendants and refrained from punishing 50 others in cases linked to sectarian incitement on social media, placing them under good conduct pledges and financial guarantees ranging from KD1,000 to KD3,000, with mobile phones confiscated. Last week, the court jailed 17 people for three years with hard labour on charges including incitement, sympathising with a hostile state and spreading false information online, and ordered the deportation of two expatriates after serving their terms. In a separate ruling, a tweeter was sentenced to 10 years with hard labour for similar offences. The court stressed such actions breach national duty, calling for unity and support for state institutions.

The victim’s lawyer, David Metaxas, spoke on behalf of the victim’s relatives, who told LyonMag that the judge’s decision was “incomprehensible.” Not only have both men been released to roam freely in the streets, but the judge did not even issue a restriction on contact with the victim, which means the two men could approach her once again. Last week, the two men, aged 20 and 21, were arrested for the rape involving the 12-year-old, as well as a 16-year-old girl who had allegedly led the younger victim to the apartment. After reportedly exchanging messages with the two young men via Snapchat, the teen encouraged her younger friend to come with her to the Airbnb. Alcohol and drugs were allegedly consumed, with an excessive amount of hard liquor given to the 12-year-old. Falling unconscious, the younger victim recounted waking up “lying on a bed covered in blood,” before realizing what had happened, recounts Lyon Mag. It was when she turned her phone back on that her mother was able to geolocate her, allowing the police to intervene. She is said to have run away from her home in Givors before the incident. However, now the perpetrators are free. The family of the 12-year-old says her safety and […]

Bahrain has revoked the citizenship of 69 individuals convicted of communicating with foreign entities and glorifying Iranian attacks during the recent conflict, authorities said, as part of a broader security crackdown. The decision follows the arrest of dozens of people accused of posting content on social media that incited instability and threatened public order in the Kingdom. Officials said the measures were taken in response to activities deemed harmful to national security, particularly during the 39-day US-Israel war on Iran, which saw missile and drone strikes across the Gulf region . Authorities have tightened monitoring of online activity and warned against sharing or promoting material that could undermine stability. The move is part of wider efforts by Bahrain to counter external threats and address security risks, including alleged links to foreign-backed groups and networks.

A 24-year-old Asian domestic worker who arrived in Bahrain seeking employment instead found herself trapped in a disturbing case of exploitation, abuse, and forced confinement, according to court records. The worker had been brought into the country by an Asian man to work as a domestic helper. However, she was reportedly deployed across multiple households without receiving any wages. Over time, she repeatedly requested to return to her home country, but her situation deteriorated instead of improving. Her testimony revealed that she was moved between different locations before ultimately being confined in a locked room without basic necessities, including access to water and electricity. She further alleged that she was subjected to physical abuse and denied food in an attempt to coerce her into continued forced labour and prevent her escape. The case came to light when a building supervisor heard cries for help while on a rooftop. Upon investigating, he found the woman in a neighbouring building in distress, asking for water. After speaking with her, he learned she was being held against her will and immediately alerted the authorities. Police intervention confirmed that the accommodation was locked from the outside and deemed unfit for habitation. Investigations concluded that […]
