Liwa Date Festival And Auction Opens In Abu Dhabi

The third edition of the Liwa Date Festival and Auction, opened on Friday Oct. 11 at the Zayed City, Al Dhafra. Being held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, the event will continue until October 20. The festival, organised by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, welcomed the Republic of Iraq as the guest of honour for this edition, with the aim of strengthening ties, exchanging agricultural expertise, and enhancing relations between the two countries in vital sectors. UAE: New Bus Service From Ajman To Global Village To Start On October 16

A new bus service catering to residents and tourists going to Global Village will start from October 16, the Ajman Road and Transport Authority announced on Monday. Tickets for the service being rolled out on the ‘Global Village Route’ will cost Dh25. Residents can enjoy the trip to Global Village when they use their Masaar Card. This announcement comes after Global Village confirmed that its new season will kick off on October 16. Three buses will depart from Al-Musalla station in Ajman to Global Village, and another three will depart from Global Village to Ajman. The trip will start from Al-Musalla Station to Global Village and back to Al Musalla Station — with the first bus departing Ajman at 2.15pm and the last at 6.15pm. ‘Rich’ Man Vows Never To Return To Seaside Town After Being Chased By Waiter Over £429 Tip

A wealthy Italian tourist was left outraged after being chased down and reprimanded by a waiter for the tip he had left at a glamorous holiday hotspot. As a result the man described as “very rich” by local media has vowed to never return to the French Riviera again. Jeddah Dedicates Mural To Teachers

Artists, students, families, and community members in Jeddah created an eye-catching mural on the Corniche in honor of the city’s teachers, featuring the slogan: “We all appreciate you.”  The mural project is a collaborative effort between Jeddah Education, Jeddah Municipality, and the Distinguished Initiatives Association as part of World Teachers’ Day. The first leg of the annual local camel races for the 2024/2025 season, organised by the Oman Camel Racing Federation, kicked off today at Al-Bashir Camel Race Track in the Wilayat of Adam in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and will continue for three days.
