Interior Ministry Show Jumping Team Wins First Place In International Championship In Italy

The Interior Ministry’s show jumping team continues its streak of achievements and record breaking performances in global competitions. The team secured first place at the ” La Caccia Garda Tour ” international championship held in Italy over four days, concluding today. Throughout the tournament, the team showcased its professional skills, competitiveness, and high readiness, resulting in their victory among 137 riders from 12 countries worldwide. The team members expressed their gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), for his support and patronage. Bahrain Crowns First-Ever National Boxing Champions

Bahrain celebrated a milestone in its sporting history last night, crowning its first group of national boxing champions. Eleven skilled fighters clinched championship belts as the inaugural Bahrain National Boxing Championship concluded at the Bahrain Table Tennis Association hall in Isa Sports City, Riffa. Under the backing of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport’s first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president, the final night of bouts was a spectacle of talent and determination. GSA deputy chairman and Bahrain Combat Sports Council president Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa presented the championship belts and gold medals to the winners, along with silver and bronze medals to other podium finishers. GCC eSports League 2024 Finals: Saudi, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar Teams Go Head-To-Head at Rocket League and Tekken 8

The Saudi eSports Federation has announced that Riyadh will be hosting the GCC eSports League 2024 finals from June 27 to 28, 2024. The championship will feature competitions in Rocket League and TEKKEN 8, with a total prize pool of $150,000. This tournament is the latest addition to the growing gaming scene in the Middle East; it will feature elite professionals and top clubs from six countries competing in thrilling matches. The league’s first event started with the group stage and ran from May 12 to 21. Twelve teams from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE competed in an online Rocket League tournament, one of the world’s most popular titles. President of the Saudi eSports Federation Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan emphasised the Kingdom’s dedication to developing the esports sector, supporting talents, and organising top-notch events and tournaments. Saudi Royal Joins $510m Bid to Buy Everton Football Club: Report

An unnamed member of the Saudi royal family is part of a consortium of investors to have made a $510m offer to buy Everton football club. The Premier League side has been dogged by off-field problems and ongoing takeover speculation since British-Iranian businessman Farhad Moshiri agreed to sell his commanding 94 per cent stake to American investors 777 Partners in September of last year. Following a protracted takeover 777 Partners have been unable to close the deal to buy Everton, leaving rival bidders ready to pounce. Saudi royal joins Everton takeover consortium According to a report by the BBC, London-based businessman Vatche Manoukian is leading a consortium of investors to take over the club. Without naming individual investors, the report claims funding will be provided by a member of the Saudi royal family as well as high-net-worth families in the United States. Saudi Physics Team Win 5 Awards At Asia Olympiad

The Kingdom excelled at the 24th Asian Physics Olympiad 2024 in Kampar, Malaysia, from June 3 to 10, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday. Backed by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, or Mawhiba, and the Ministry of Education, the Saudi Arabia team competed against 208 students from 27 countries. The eight-member team won one bronze medal and received four certificates of appreciation, the SPA reported. Mazen Al-Shakhs from the Al-Ahsa Education Department won the bronze medal, while Wissam Al-Qanbar from the Eastern Province, Ahmed Arif and Abdulmalik Alem from Jeddah, and Ahmed Fadlallah from Makkah received certificates of appreciation. Mawhiba’s Secretary-General Amal Al-Hazzaa praised the students, their families, schools and teachers. She highlighted the Kingdom’s strategy to nurture talent and creativity, and build a knowledge-based, competitive society. Saudi National Football Team Wins 3-0 Against Pakistan In World Cup Qualifiers

The Saudi national football team secured a 3-0 victory against the Pakistani team at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad during the fifth round of the second Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and Asia 2027. Firas Al-Buraikan scored twice for the Saudi team, netting goals in the 26th and 41st minutes, while Musab Al-Juwair added a third goal in the 59th minute. This win advances the Saudi national team to the third round of the final qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Their next match is scheduled against Jordan on June 11 in Riyadh. The Saudi team leads Group Seven with 13 points, holding a 6-point lead over runner-up Jordan.
