BIC Hosts Fun, Physical Activity in Batelco Fitness on Track Tonight

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, hosts the latest edition of Batelco Fitness on Track tonight. BIC invites the general public to enjoy a fun, physical activity with the whole family, a group of friends, or individually. Tuesday’s event will be held from 6pm to 10pm under BIC’s bright, state-of-theart floodlights, making for a visual spectacle while getting a unique workout in a Formula 1 venue. Batelco Fitness on Track can be done either on foot or on a bicycle, all within the safe and secure setting of the worldclass Sakhir circuit. Runners and walkers will be utilising BIC’s 2.550-kilometre Inner Circuit, while cyclists will get to ride their bikes along the 3.543-kilometre Outer Circuit, with another dedicated area for children’s cycling. The cost to take part is BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Payment must be made upon booking. Children under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult. Saudi: Yazeed AL-Rajhi Withdraws From Dakar Rally After Vehicle Overturns During Stage Six

Saudi driver Yazeed Al-Rajhi, who was leading the 2024 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia, was forced to withdraw on Thursday after his “Toyota Hilux” was involved in a rollover accident during the sixth stage in the Empty Quarter. This stage, known for being the toughest and most challenging, spans 48 hours and covers a distance of 818 km. Al-Rajhi recorded a commendable performance in the 2024 Saudi Dakar Rally, hosted by the Kingdom for the fifth consecutive time. Al-Rajhi and his German co-driver, Timo Gottschalk, emerged safely and in good condition from the accident after completing 51 kilometers of the first section of the stage named “Chrono 48.” Before the accident, Al-Rajhi was leading the overall standings after the fifth stage, ahead of QatariNasser Al-Attiyah by 9 minutes and 3 seconds.

Saudi Dakar Rally 2024 Kicks Off

The competitions of the Saudi Dakar Rally 2024 kicked off from AlUla governorate today. According to SPA, the 46th Dakar Rally is being hosted by the Kingdom for the fifth time in a row and will run until January 19, featuring six categories of vehicles and covering a distance of over 7,800 km. Saudi Dakar’s preliminary stage kicked off in AlUla today with the participation of 585 competitors and navigators on board 418 vehicles covering 157 km around Mabeet Camp. Bahrain Set for Formula 1 Spectacle

This year’s highly anticipated Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is set to open the 2024 FIA F1 World Championship, and it will be the Kingdom’s first-ever Saturday night race, making for an additional spectacle to the weekend’s 20th anniversary celebrations at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir. Details of the event, taking place 29 February to 2 March at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, were announced yesterday at the official launch.
