Ukraine’s President Zelensky is spiking the football, and poking the Russian bear (or rather jabbing it pretty hard), as he issued a statement calling Sunday’s massive drone attack on Russian territory which destroyed strategic bombers “an absolutely brilliant result”. He described that the attack happened “One year, six months, and nine days from the start of planning to effective execution. Our most long-range operation.” The Ukrainians are calling it ‘Operation Spider’s Web’. Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk delivered a report regarding today’s operation. An absolutely brilliant result. A result achieved solely by Ukraine. One year, six months, and nine days from the start of planning to effective execution. Our most long-range… pic.twitter.com/oN41NFYyfw — Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський (@ZelenskyyUa) June 1, 2025 Indeed there are reports of the operation’s reach going very far north… Seems destroying Russia's strategic bombers wasnt enough for Ukraine today – the city of Severomorsk that houses Russia's nuclear submarines – is no longer not violently exploding. pic.twitter.com/xxUFsLXC5H — Jay in Kyiv (@JayinKyiv) June 1, 2025 Russia’s military has since issued official statement confirming the scope of the massive drone swarm strikes: Military airfields across Russia have been attacked in a series of kamikaze drone strikes, […]

In a significant development, India on Wednesday announced to shut its airspace for Pakistan-owned and operated flights till May 23 (estimated), days after Islamabad decided to shut its airspace to all flights owned and operated by the Indian carriers. India has issued a NOTAM (notice to airmen) under which Pakistani aircraft are barred from Indian airspace till May 23. The move comes amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of the barbaric terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed. According to the NOTAM, this restriction will be in effect from April 30 to May 23, 2025, during which no Pakistani aircraft will be permitted to enter Indian airspace. This move comes days after Pakistan closed its airspace to all flights owned and operated by Indian carriers, prompting India to respond with a reciprocal airspace ban on Pakistani aircraft. Earlier in the day, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, discussed the security scenario and the future course of action in the aftermath of the April 22 horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The top decision-making body on national security was convened for the second time at the Prime Minister’s residence […]

India has suffered one of its worst terror attacks in recent years, after gunmen conducted mass killings in a picturesque and tourist-popular spot in the disputed and Indian-administered region of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The site’s location in the mountainous Anantnag district is so remote that it took at least half a day for casualty figures to emerge, but authorities have since announced that 26 people were killed. Most the dead were travelers visiting a popular tourist destination in the Baisaran Valley, which is only accessible by foot or horseback. A huge military rescue operation and search for victims ensued. Emerging eyewitness accounts indicated that men were separated from women and children by unknown armed militants which had descended on the area. The men, all civilians, were then asked their names before being executed at close range. Reuters describes that “About 1,000 tourists and 300 local service providers were in the Baisaran Valley – known as mini Switzerland for its lush hilltop meadow, surrounded by dense pine forests – when three gunmen launched the Tuesday attack, the worst, opens new tab in India in nearly two decades.” The initial reaction of the Indian government was to point the finger at Pakistan, but without naming specific culprits responsible. Indian security forces in Kashmir carried out a major manhunt Wednesday, a day after gunmen opened fire on tourists, slaughtering at least 26 people in the region’s deadliest attack on civilians since 2000. Prime Minister Narendra Modi decried the “heinous act” and pledged that the attackers “will be brought to justice”. Modi, who cut short a state visit to Saudi Arabia to return to India early Wednesday, met with top security officials immediately on his arrival, a government official said. No official toll has been released, but security sources told AFP that at least 26 people were killed on Tuesday afternoon when gunmen burst out of forests at a popular tourist spot and raked crowds of visitors with automatic gunfire. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said the attack had been “much larger than anything we’ve seen directed at civilians in recent years”. No group has claimed responsibility, but rebels in the Muslim-majority region have waged an insurgency since 1989. ‘Abomination’ “This attack on our visitors is an abomination,” Abdullah said in a statement after the attack. “The perpetrators of this attack are animals, inhuman and worthy of contempt.” AFP journalists near the site of the attack in Pahalgam, a popular […]

Pakistan is reeling after this week’s hijacking of the Jaffar Express by the terrorist-designated “Balochistan Liberation Army” (BLA). It’s impossible to independently confirm the details given strict state censorship, but around 400 people were taken hostage, including servicemen traveling home on leave. The BLA demanded the release of what they described as political prisoners, but the military staged a daring operation to end the day-long ordeal instead. At least two dozen people were killed. The Baloch Conflict owes its origins to Balochistan’s contentious incorporation into Pakistan but has evolved in recent years to take on shades of “resource nationalism”. What’s meant by this is that some locals believe that their resource-rich region, the largest in Pakistan at nearly half the country’s size, isn’t receiving its fair share of wealth. The BLA and its supporters also accuse Pakistan of selling the region out to China. Pakistan denies these claims and has always blamed Afghanistan and India for the conflict. It therefore wasn’t surprising when the Foreign Office’s spokesman said on Thursday that “India has been involved in terrorism in Pakistan. In the particular attack on Jaffar express, the terrorists had been in contact with their handlers and ring leaders in Afghanistan.” While the Afghan dimension is likely true owing to the Taliban sheltering the BLA […]

One of the most brazen terror attacks and hostage standoffs the world has ever seen played out on Tuesday into Wednesday. The shocking incident in Pakistan’s restive southwestern region involved a separatist Islamist group attacking and taking control of a large passenger train. Some 450 passengers were travelling on the train from Quetta to Peshawar when it was attacked Tuesday by militants of the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The group took a number of hostages after halting the train. Many bystanders are still missing. Soon after the train had entered a tunnel, “intense gunfire” was unleashed by the militants. There had actually ben over 100 passengers on the train who were members of Pakistani security forces, but it’s unclear whether many of these personnel were armed at the time. One eyewitness who was able to escape the mayhem, Muhammad Ashraf, described to BBC: “There was a lot of fear among the passengers. It was a scene of doomsday.” Pakistani special forces were among the first to respond to the scene, also amid helicopter cover overhead, and a shootout ensued. But it ended in tragedy. While at least 35 militants were killed, some 100 civilians were reportedly executed by the terrorists. The hunt for the remaining […]

Russian Permanent UN Representative Vasily Nebenzia pulled no punches at the UNSC last month when responding to the Secretary General’s latest report on terrorism. He called the West out for using such groups “to achieve their geopolitical goals, including the overthrow of inconvenient Governments and the creation and maintenance of hotbeds of regional instability.” He also claimed that they’re “cultivating a terrorist hydra” to justify aggression against the afflicted countries and their occupation. This led to Nebenzia discussing the growth of terrorism in West Africa, which he said isn’t due to Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger fighting more robustly against this scourge like the Secretary General’s report claimed, but NATO’s war on Libya as well as recent Western and Ukrainian support for such groups. On the topic of Ukraine, he mentioned how it “had previously been used as a staging ground for foreign terrorist fighters, and now it has morphed into a logistical hub”. Nebenzia also tied this to USAID. Afghanistan was the next place that he talked about in this context, reminding everyone of how “NATO troops abandoned vast quantities of weapons and equipment there, which then fell into the hands of ISIL inter alia.” This explains the explosion of terrorism there over the past few years. Millions of Ukrainians have left their country and hundreds of thousands of men are dead and wounded at the front. Now, employers and big capital are already suggesting that the “only solution” is for mass immigration of Third-World migrants. This means that after the war is over, many of the soldiers will come home to a Ukraine that will be rapidly transformed under their feet. Currently, every 10 Ukrainian women give birth to only 7 children on average, while to maintain the population this number should be at least 22. Without this, Ukraine’s population will continue to decline, and the previously mentioned population level of 40-50 million will become unattainable. Vasyl Voskobojnik, president of the Ukrainian Association of Foreign Employment Agencies, says the population decline can no longer be offset by simply increasing the birth rate, and immigration from Third-World countries is the only solution, reports Magyar Nemzet. Workforce gaps are a serious issue. There are currently about 29 million people living in Ukraine, give or take 1 million. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, another 200,000 people left the country in 2024, further worsening the labor shortage. At least 8.2 million workers would be needed for the future recovery of the Ukrainian […]
